Cadillac Increases Value Three-fold The CTS family offers versatility in three attractive packages.
For style, value and versatility, look no further than the Cadillac CTS lineup. Offering three exciting choices – the CTS sedan, the CTS-V and the CTS Sport Wagon – there’s something for every consumer’s desire.
All offer the distinctive vertical headlights and the rakish forward-looking style that are sure to be the center of attention in any venue. The CTS sedan, with electroluminescent gauges, presents a ‘v-shaped’ center stack of controls, all within easy reach. Coupled with the expected luxurious, double-stitched upholstery and a variety of accents in the cabin, it all adds up to a comfortable driving experience with a sportscar’s feel and performance. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine with variable valve timing (VVT) delivers 304 hp with 273 lb/ft of torque on Regular (87-octane) gasoline. Stability is enhanced by StabiliTrak computer-controlled electronic stability and traction control, and the wishbone front suspension/multi-link rear suspension. Safety is assured with driver and front passenger dual-stage frontal airbags, seat-mounted side-impact driver and passenger airbags, and front and outboard rear passenger head-curtain side-impact airbags. With an MSRP starting at $36,560, the Cadillac CTS is packed with value and luxury.
To add a little more muscle to the CTS family, Cadillac introduced the CTS-V. With precision handling and awesome acceleration provided by a 556-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8, this CTS-V puts up a serious zero-to-60 mph number of 4.3 seconds and still keeps you wrapped in luxury. (By way of comparison, Car and Driver clocked a 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S at 3.9 seconds…just four-tenths of a second faster than the CTS-V.) With leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, telescopic steering column, power-adjustable heated front seats with driver memory, a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound audio system with CD/MP3 player, XM Satellite Radio, a USB port and a 40GB hard drive for storing music, the CTS-V is very well-equipped. Its exterior design flashes a bold silver mesh grille, a bulging hood and flared front fenders. The performance-tuned independent suspension front and rear proved its mettle on Germany’s Nürburgring track. CTS-V’s MSRP of $59,875 includes the standard safety features of StabiliTrak electronic stability control, traction control, OnStar emergency communications system and a full complement of front, side-impact and side-curtain airbags.
If a bit of pragmatism is what you’re seeking to accompany the luxury features offered by Cadillac and the CTS family, then look no farther than the 2010 CTS Sport Wagon. Equipped with the standard 3.6-liter direct-injection V6 engine with variable valve timing (VVT), it delivers 263 hp through a fuel-saving six-speed automatic transmission. Inside, there’s an impressive 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the split/folding rear seats. Distinctive styling includes large, vertical taillamps with light-pipe technology, a power-opening tailgate, an integrated roof load management system and adjustable in-floor storage areas. The Sport Wagon still offers the stability and traction control of the CTS sedan, and runs on Regular (87-octane) gasoline as well.
The CTS family makes it easy to choose which car brand offers luxury, safety and versatility – Cadillac. The only difficulty may be in choosing which of the CTS offerings is for you!
